Idea Submission for The People's Money:
Program to provide veterinary medical services for animals that can then be trained as emotional support service animals for those who need mental health therapy, especially low-income families, the unhoused, and veterans. These populations would also receive outreach for information related to housing, food, employment opportunities, and health.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
Health and well-being receives very little funding compared with other budget items like the New York City Police Department.
