What makes an idea submission acceptable?

To be accepted, your idea must meet the following criteria:

  • It must be an expense project. This means programs, events, or services—not capital projects like building repairs, new equipment, or facility upgrades.Examples of acceptable ideas: after-school programs, art classes, or community mental health initiatives.

  • It must be completed within one year. Only ideas that can realistically be finished in 12 months will be considered.

  • It must be feasible and legal. The idea must be practical to implement and follow all New York City laws and regulations.
