Idea Submission for The People's Money:
To create a mobile mental health program that will support families in public housing or other low economic communities. These mobile units will provide on the go services or safe spaces to discuss emotions and to foster open dialogues and space to discuss positive/appropriate coping mechanisms. This program can be piloted for 3 months to assess receptiveness and offer continuity to care. Clients can be referred out, if further treatment is needed. Individual, family, and group therapy with a part of the program.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
People of color in low economic communities lack access to health and wellness services. More funding is needed to be able to provide health services and to bridge the gap
