Low income youth in workforce

There should be a program where students are given a variety of short job opportunities (kinda like an internship). For example, one week a student will work at a mechanic shop and then another week they can work at a library. They can get paid a small amount of money for their work.

Many low income students don't get real life experiences in the work force before entering college. It's important for them to experience the variety of job offerings in the world and become knowledgeable about their career choices.
