Essential

Futures for the Youth

Idea Submission for The People's Money:
This program is designed to provide comprehensive support to young people, focusing on mental health, education, and basic needs. Participants will have access to free therapy sessions and youth programs, creating safe spaces where they feel heard, valued, and supported. The program also prioritizes access to affordable, high-quality educational resources and opportunities, equipping youth with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the future. Additionally, the initiative ensures that young people in need have access to clothing and essentials through donations and youth-focused thrift shops.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
This program area needs more funding to make neighborhoods safer for young people and their families. Affordable housing is important so that everyone has a stable place to live, and foster care should be supportive and caring for kids who need it. Young people also need access to essential resources, like healthy food and safe housing, to grow up healthy and strong. By investing in these areas, we can create communities where youth feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive.
