Idea Submission for The People's Money:: This year-long program will provide funding, training, and hands-on support to help businesses expand their services, improve operations, and create new job opportunities within the community. Quarter 1: Outreach & Assessment Conduct door-to-door outreach and info sessions with local businesses. As well connect businesses to existing NYC programs (SBS, Workforce1, etc.). Quarter 2: Capacity Building & Resource Distribution. Provide workshops on marketing, financial literacy, bookkeeping, and digital tools. Quarter 3: Expansion & Workforce Development. Support businesses in expanding storefronts, equipment, or products. Partner with local schools and CBOs for internship and youth employment pathways. Quarter 4: Community Showcase & Evaluation. Host a Small Business Expo to highlight businesses funded through the initiative. Gather community feedback and measure job creation + business growth.
