Idea Submission for The People's Money:: A program that teaches single parents the importance of reading to their child/children daily. Providing hands on tools from staff with free books and bookshelf upon completion of workshops. The parent’s would be provided snacks Omnicard (2fare) and a small Monetary stipend for participating to offset the economic challenges in neighborhoods. Parents would get a certificate upon completion and also onsite Childcare if needed.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?: The lack of low reading and graduation rates in community. Help single parents have financed to take care of their families. Continued love of reading and library visits. Parenting that helps DOE school participation in school related activities.
