This idea has advanced to one of our five Borough Assemblies. Throughout four deliberation sessions, Assembly members will decide whether the idea moves on to the final ballot.
Unification of communities
- Idea Submission for The People's Money:
- Parks should have more events, festivals, and fairs all year round, not only during peak season. This way we incorporate other topic areas to be help and utilized at the spaces. It can be open space for public safety trainings, would encourage more connections made within a community. Ex. Job fairs, food donations, small businesses, and workshops.
- What is the problem your idea aims to address?
- This topic area should receive more funding because it is and can be tied to everything/every other topic areas. Park, recreation centers and green spaces often go unused, neglected, and are not utilized to their fullest potential.
