How does your organization plan to bring this idea to life?
We will bring this project to life through a structured, five-week program model that includes industry-specific master classes, immersive track-based training, field trips, guest speakers, mentorship, certification opportunities, and college and career readiness workshops—all hosted at the Commonpoint Youth Opportunity Hub in Queens.
What motivated your organization to apply to implement this idea?
We were motivated by the urgent need to provide equitable access to career exposure, mentorship, and post-secondary planning for young people, particularly those from underserved communities. Many youth lack access to professional networks and we aim to bridge that gap.
How do you think this project will make a difference in your community?
This program empowers youth with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to pursue meaningful education and career pathways. By connecting them to real-world opportunities and mentors, we are fostering individual success and cultivating a resilient community.
List at least one thing you're excited about related to this project!
We’re especially excited to see youth explore their passions through hands-on track immersions and leave the program with industry-recognized certifications, polished resumes, and a clearer path forward.
