Community Awareness towards self defense

Idea Submission for The People's Money:
Public safety should receive more funding because the well being of the citizens should be the main priority. With crime rates and incidents going up, it's important to educate the people on how to defend themselves and prevent being a target.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
Organizing events and fairs to spread awareness on topics such as self-defense, and things to be more cautious about for safety. The event will be all inclusive and last for over a week-provides free classes for self-defense as well as workshops to educate people about targeted crimes and how they can avoid being targeted.
