- Idea Submission for The People's Money:
- Community mental health care clinic specializing in care for Seniors. Based out of community locations like a church or other faith organization where trust can be leveraged for greater access/participation by clients. Services will be mobile with the mental health care professional bringing one-on-one therapeutic care and group counseling and workshops (like mindfulness meditation) to local senior housing.
- What is the problem your idea aims to address?
- Seniors are one of the fastest growing populations needing mental health care. Elders are often resistant and reluctant to connect with clinical mental healthcare providers because of stigma.
