Parental Education

Parent education initiative within public middle schools in Queens connects parents with professionals of developmental psychology to advise on parenting approaches. The program comes with a stipend for voluntary participation in the program, where parents attend weekly sessions.

Our city needs more funding due to the lack of parental guidance around growth development, especially being in a metropolitan area like Queens. Social services are necessary to supplemental education funding in supporting the growth of well-rounded youth.
