Work & Shelter: Help Homeless Neighbors

Avatar: Brooklyn Level Up, Inc. Brooklyn Level Up, Inc.
Idea Submission for The People's Money:
We want a job training program for homeless people, especially able-bodied men who want to work but don’t have a way to start over. Train them to do community work like cleaning the parks, fixing things for seniors, helping soup kitchens or other things like that. When they reach certain work goals, they could earn housing credits to help them get a room or an apartment.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
Every day we see more people on the streets - young people, grown men, even families with children. People just need a change. If they can learn a trade, earn money, and have a safe place to stay, that would help the whole community.
Which groups does your idea focus on? Select all that apply
Youth (under 24)
Older Adults (65 +)
Justice Impacted People
Veterans
