A Safer Bronx For Tomorrow

Idea Submission for The People's Money:
This project focuses on improving public safety, community wellbeing, and neighborhood conditions by increasing visibility, strengthening law-enforcement presence, and creating safer public spaces for youth and families. A year long program designed to make the neighborhood safer and more welcoming. The program focuses on better lighting, increased visibility and patrol presence, community safety resources, youth-focused prevention programs and stronger communication between residents and public safety partners.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
The community continues to face concerns around crime, poorly lit areas, and limited safety resources. Many residents feel unsafe walking at night, especially near parks, commercial strips, bus stops, and residential buildings. Improving public safety will help.
