Throughout four deliberation sessions, Assembly Members decided to advance this idea to one of the final borough ballots for New Yorkers to vote on. The idea has been edited by Assembly Members and CEC staff to fit ballot character limits and remove all references to specific institutions and geographies. - Idea Submission for The People's Money:
- Mobile clinics to screen for common health issues ie: lung, heart, liver issues. The focus is making preventative care accessible w/o barriers of health insurance. In order to promote this service, we propose rotating health festivals in neighborhoods across the Bronx with the health clinic present and info about dates will be in that particular part of their neighborhood. The festival will have free healthy food, nutrition, yoga etc.
