Avatar: LWVNYC LWVNYC
Idea Submission for The People's Money:
A program that would offer lesson on techniques on how to physcically defend themselves but doesn't hurt the attacker badly, so basically this program would help youth escape out of dangerous situation, learning things like karate and how to use the environment to your advantage
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
Public safety should receive more funding because then people can feel secure in their environment. Gun violence and domestic violence are some examples that occur a lot throughout NY and if we spend more into public safety, decrease of population would happen less.
Which groups does your idea focus on? Select all that apply
Youth (under 24)
