Education for toddlers
- Idea Submission for The People's Money:
- Educational activities for toddlers and preschoolers on weekends ( Saturday and Sunday ). On the weekends toddlers and preschoolers should get the opportunity to receive education with their parent/caregiver. Anyways for the parents that stay home majority of the time of weekends ( speaking from my experience only but I’m sure many can relate) because of how hard it is to use public transportation with kids (no elevators). So I suggest that there should be parent and child programs that focus on education but also on hands activities and building confidence- by making the children participate and answer questions for example if it’s a story time ( I know at BPL there are story time but NEVER on the weekends, only on weekdays when a lot of kids attend full time preschool). And by encouraging pretend play and imagination kind of like Mrs Rachel but in person. Some ideas: Like how children receive early intervention therapy just as a group by age so not only children but also parent can experience the class, take notes and reinforce the lesson during the weekdays at home until the next week with the next lesson etc. I’m sure many children in that age group who aren’t eligible for programs like that would benefit from this. In addition kids that age brain is like a sponge and sometimes parents are tiered and I believe it will be very motivating to have classes that include both parent and child.
