Essential

4.0 Project Implementation

What happens during Project Implementation?

After the voting results are determined and the winning projects ideas are announced, the CEC works closely with selected contracted community partners that applied to bring the winning ideas to life! Over the course of the year, the CEC ensures they are supported, effectively monitored, and that projects are completed successfully.

How Project Implementation Works

  • The CEC invites community-based organizations to apply to turn the ideas into projects through a robust and competitive selection process. CEC staff review applications thoroughly to ensure selected partners will be able to successfully complete their projects and have experience in and passion for the project's impact area.

  • Selected organizations implement the projects throughout the year with capacity building and project management support from the CEC. In collaboration with The New School's Graduate Program in International Affairs, these Project Cycle Management workshops support the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and consistent reporting out of the projects.
