Which group(s) does your idea focus on? Select as many as apply.
People with Disabilities
Describe the challenge you want to address:
People with disabilities such as mental issues like Down Syndrome should have the opportunity to live on their own. Many of them are seen as unable to live independently and are limited by their own family and other's opinion. There should be government involvement to get them a job and establish them into independent settings.
What is the solution to the challenge?
Students could be offered commuity hours that would allow them to help people with disabilities like keep checking on them or if they need something specific students could find information about it. This would be enabled by a program which would organize the students to someone with a disability safely and properly.
