What problem would you like to solve?

Seniors traveling alone from the transit systems (buses & trains).

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Seniors are being targeted more as victims of crime. This community has a large senior population, and they need to go to appointments, the bank, etc. But they are too afraid to go out for fear of being attacked or harmed.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Have individuals available to escort seniors to their home from trains, buses, their appointments, etc. Individuals will be screened and registered. You can book a travel buddy in advance to be available to meet the senior whenever they need. Maybe partner with colleges to have the students connect with the seniors as well as earn some money.
