What problem would you like to solve?

Our kids are eating meals twice a day in school that are not fresh, they are pre-made from processed ingredients and reheated (sometimes in microwaves.)

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Health is dependent on a good nutritious diet. Our kids at P.S. 145 spend half of the day at school eating food we would not feed them at home. Processed food causes diabetes, allergies and other health problems.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Kitchen with chefs/cooks cooking fresh meals from FRESH ingredients would support the health of our kids (community,) create extra work force and support local farmers who will supply our kitchen.

    Who would that help?

Help kids, community, create work space, help local farmers. Investing in our kids health is the future.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

    Manhattan
