What problem would you like to solve?

Senior citizens are willing to become more mobile in their daily activities if they had safe, reliable transportation and places to go.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This will ensure residents don't have to travel as far to participate and receive support services. Seniors feel disregarded in some aspects because of their age so creating an initiative where they are at the center can help their quality of life.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Funding to (1) aid senior residents with transportation challenges, i.e ensure transportation is safe and reliable, (2) increase provision of services available at local senior centers such as rights advocates and mental health support.

Who would that help?

All NYC seniors looking to become more active or involved in their communities.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Staten Island, it is most hard leaving from this borough than any other.
