Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

What problem would you like to solve?

Some children have difficulty reading and music can be used to help. Music has been shown to help children learn difficult tasks and subjects.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Music has been around for ages, why not use it to help our children learn? Music therapy has been successful in many cases, why not use it in the classroom? Some children have issues with retention and attention, thus new techniques should be implemented in the class.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

The implementation of music in schools can help children. The implementation of music programs after school or community programs relating to music.

Who would that help?

The children of the community from ages 10-17 years old.

What neighborhood would benefit from your idea?

East Elmhurst
