Idea Submission for The People's Money:
A program where immigrants / parents / guardians who don't know how the public school system works and have children navigating it can be more involved from k-12, from helping parents be aware of different types of in school programs to scholarships their child can apply for. Many first gen students miss many opportunities so if we can start early with their parents they can get ahead.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
We live in Queens in one of the most diverse boroughs where there are not only immigrants but immigrants who's [sic] children battling the public school system so in a domino affect [sic] way this idea can help the next generation.
