Throughout four deliberation sessions, Assembly Members decided to advance this idea to one of the final borough ballots for New Yorkers to vote on. The idea has been edited by Assembly Members and CEC staff to fit ballot character limits and remove all references to specific institutions and geographies. Job training program for immigrants

- Focus on direct job placement and certification. NYC bridge to work program. Fund a partnership between community-based organizations and local businesses to offer paid, short-term certification courses followed by a guaranteed job interview or partnership with an apprentice company. The program will provide multi-lingual support
