Youth Hub: NYC’s First 24-Hour Hybrid Empowerment Hub for Ages 0–25

Avatar: Danny Joyner Danny Joyner
Idea Submission for The People's Money:
The Youth Hub will be NYC’s first 24-hour, all-inclusive hybrid empowerment hub for ages 0–25. It will operate in every borough and online, giving young people round-the-clock access to safe spaces, trusted adults, and life-changing support. Every youth will be paired with a Life Advisor and connected to a citywide network of vetted community organizations that provide academic, emotional, social, financial, and wellness-based services. The Hub will include trauma-informed counseling, nutrition and wellness labs, entrepreneurship training, recreation, peer mentorship, and special-needs–inclusive programming. It will function as both an out-of-school destination and an emergency support center—ensuring that every young person, at any hour, has somewhere safe to go to be supported, heard, and empowered.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
NYC youth face rising mental-health challenges, academic disengagement, limited safe spaces, and lack of financial literacy or wellness education. Special-needs youth and those facing adversity experience these barriers even more severely. The Youth Hub closes these gaps by offering 24-hour access to mentorship, stability, crisis support, wellness, and life-building opportunities.
