Throughout four deliberation sessions, Assembly Members decided to advance this idea to one of the final borough ballots for New Yorkers to vote on. The idea has been edited by Assembly Members and CEC staff to fit ballot character limits and remove all references to specific institutions and geographies. Idea Submission for The People's Money:
Offer an after-school and weekend arts and music program for students in the community who cannot afford private lessons. The program will provide instruction in usual visual arts and music, helping children and teens build creative skills, confidence, and positive engagement outside of school.
