Essential

SNAP for the most needed

Idea Submission for The People's Money:
To raise SNAP income limits and offering workshops where community members can learn how to apply for SNAP, what documents they need to apply, and what resources are available for them, such as food pantries, within their communities that they can also visit and what other services they are eligible for.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?
This topic area should receive more funding because food insecurity is a big issue with the city due to inflation and the increase in grocery prices. Also, a large portion of people who are low-income communities are not eligible to receive SNAP and it has also shifted and affected the low-middle class communities.
Which groups does your idea focus on? Select all that apply
Youth (under 24)
Older Adults (65 +)
People with Disabilities
Limited English Speakers
Immigrants / Migrants
