Idea Submission for The People's Money:: Our idea is to start a program that allows survivors a place to stay, be employed, and gain financial security. Often times survivors don't know where to continue life after leaving a traumatic experience. So through this program, community-based workshops will be held teaching financial literacy, banking systems, safety, and how to prevent being in another situation as such.
What is the problem your idea aims to address?: Domestic abuse is one of the most common yet overlooked issues that are present in all types of communities today and since forever. We see cases of domestic abuse in our everyday lives from social media, news, our friends and families, yet awareness is still not being spread enough.
