3.0 Voting

What happens during citywide Voting?

Each borough's ballot has been finalized by the Borough Assemblies, and citywide voting has begun! From May 6 – June 21, 2026, all New Yorkers age 11 and older can vote to help decide which community project ideas will receive funding from the city budget to be implemented in communities across the city. Residents can vote online or in-person at locations in all five boroughs, with materials and support available in multiple languages.

  • The CEC works with community partners and volunteers throughout the city to support participation, including hosting events, setting up ballot boxes, running neighborhood campaigns, and spreading awareness through multimedia and multilingual outreach.

  • New Yorkers review the ideas that were developed and selected during the Borough Assemblies, then cast their votes online or at in-person voting sites throughout their borough.

  • The top ideas in each borough are selected to become funded projects, bringing positive change to communities across the city.
