Describe the challenge you want to address:

There is a surplus of abandoned homes throughout the boroughs. Many of which stays dormant, attracts pests and unwarranted violence, and diminishes the general attraction to the neighborhood for people living in marginalized communities. With the amount of space that Queens has, and the amount of abandoned houses that surplus the space, there should be more facilities that are created to aid in archiving and restoring these abandoned buildings into something that is purposeful and sustainable.

What is the solution to the challenge?

We should adapt and reuse abandoned buildings and house into creative art studios, gallery spaces, and archival spaces in marginalized communities. Creative art spaces can include ceramic studios which are heavily lacking in South East Queens, or any other nonprofit organization that directly benefits the community surrounding them.
