Landlords
Describe the challenge you want to address:
Currently there is no single website where a landlord can go to see all the regulations they need to follow. We need to visit the DOB, Fire Dept, HUD, HPD, BIS, and many other websites to find the information we need to safely rent to tenants.
What is the solution to the challenge?
The solution is to set up a Landlord Centric website that has links to all the other websites (for easy updating) on all topics related to being a landlord. This would include specific information for each sized building (1 family, 2 family, 3 family, and up, etc.) on topics of leasing requirements (paperwork fees, etc.), safety requirements (Fire dept code, BIS/DOB codes, etc.), due dates of required actions (HPD registration, lead/gas inspections, gas detector installation, sanitation requirements, etc.). All information a landlord needs to know in one website. This will help tenant safety if the landlords know what they are required to do and when it is due.
