But I do so at my own risk because it is often overgrown and barely accessible.\n\n

What is the solution to the challenge?

\n\n
The solution is rather simple: create a team made up of professional licensed landscape architects, engineers, construction professionals to create an actual path. Boulders have to be moved, brush cleared, lighting installed under the Staten Island Railway, signage created and installed (more than a few NYC Parks maple leaf trail markers. I am a licensed professional engineer, and can participate and lend my expertise gratis. The trail runs about 1-2 miles from Hylan Boulevard to the south and Richmond Road to the north.\n\nIn the mid-80s, the NYCDCP studied the demapping of the mid-Island parkways to ensure the greenbelt could be preserved. In the 40 years since, a few signs were erected. Thus is an easy fix we Islanders are owed and it is about time this project is undertaken for our borough.\n\nI’d be happy to come in to discuss such an endeavor.\n\n

Please provide your Zip Code

\n\n
10308\n\n

</xml>"]
