Describe the challenge you want to address:
Dimitri has no life experience, wont know how to deescalate a situation. As an 11 year old, he doesnt know his rights. Depending on his support system, he may or may not have opportunities to heal. He may not know how his neighbors due to to limited interactions in public housing.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
Creation of a mentorship program and frequent regular programming would be good to have as an afterschool program with civic education program, life skills education, communication skills education. A safe and interesting place to go in his own community with his mentor.
