In which borough should your idea take place?
Brooklyn
Do you have a specific neighborhood(s) in mind?

Youth
Describe the challenge you want to address:
Participatory Budgeting (both citywide and city council PB) is such an amazing way to incorporate youth input into government decisions, especially because youth under 18 are excluded from elections. We need to ensure PB is a way to get lots of youth feedback on government decision making.
Describe your idea and approach to address the challenge:
We need an official PB School toolkit developed for teachers to use in their own classrooms during the PB cycle to make sure youth are able to participate at each stage. I propose that funding could be allocated to a non-profit to design a school toolkit (meaning lesson plans, idea generation game, posters, graphics, or art project guidelines) that could be easily used by teachers to incorporate PB into their curriculum or by administrators to get the word out about ideas collection, assemblies, and voting.
