What problem would you like to solve?

We want to solve the issue of the lack of sanitary conditions in and around the neighborhoods by public housing in Mott Haven.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

It is important because we want to change the narrative and have people love and go back to their neighborhoods. It is relevant because we often feel looked over when it comes to the conditions in the neighborhood.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

We would like to create a neighborhood clean up and advocacy group. This group will engage in encouraging picking up after pets and disposal of garbage properly through presentations, social media and flyering.to avoid attraction of pests and negative reviews of the neighborhood.

    Who would that help?

    Community and public housing residents

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?
