What problem would you like to solve?

English learners and new immigrants can feel intimidated when speaking in English at a work meeting, or at a community meeting.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

They often feel disempowered and this prevents them from speaking out and sharing their ideas to improve their work or communities.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Form a community group focused on public speaking, like Toastmasters, but simpler, more approachable and free. It would help English speaking skills, increase self-esteem, improve job interviewing skills, and increase communication skills.
