Lack of activities and things to do for children in BXCB7

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Kids turn to guns, gangs and drugs due to the lack of activities for them to do after school. There needs to be a place or event to engage kids not just give them free book bags when it’s back to school. We are losing our kids because gangs offer them a family environment . The politicians should be focusing on setting up children for success.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Monthly Kids activities and in the summer utilize the parks to offer daily activities for the kids. This is done at a park one E68th steeet in Manhattan.
