What problem would you like to solve?

the use of substances in school age children

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

many kids are using substances (especially marijuana) for several reasons in the community. It's worrisome when they use it to deal with trauma, stress, peer pressure - not a pro-social environment

What idea do you have to address the problem?

create a program to educate parents, teachers, and kids that substances are not developmentally appropriate. Create pro-social programs that can influence kids to better cope with trauma, stress, peer pressure - create more paid positions that address kids mental health needs so they don't need to use substances to cope

Who would that help?

Kids

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?
