Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Many children do not have safe place to stay/supervised place to stay after school, outside of home. Parents who work long hours may have children who need after school supervision that goes beyond after school clubs and sports

What idea do you have to address the problem?

more programs can be offered in school buildings, staffed by school staff, volunteers, that offer after school activities for free - homework help, counseling, sports facilities, resource hub - and simply a safe place to stay

Who would that help?

youth whose parents work late, who need a positive influence/safe haven beyond the school day
