What problem would you like to solve?

Lack of mental health awareness as well as the stigma with youth and mental health.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

There is a very high rate in youth suicide and there is a severe need for accessible mental health service providers available to the urban community.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Have more accessible, free mental health services that are integrated in a safe space. Preferably in a center or a more fun environment vs a typical mental health office. That way it is more inviting and more youth will feel comfortable. Also hire more young people who look like the community and can relate so youth feel like they can connect and want to receive the services.
