Essential

Housing for New Immigrant Arrivals

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

What problem would you like to solve?

I would like there to be aid and assistance for immigrants who arrive to the United States without having anyone to receive them in their homes.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This would help reduce the number of homeless or new immigrants who are in a shelter. It is relevant to the community because immigrants really serve the community.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Designate certain areas around the city to serve as housing for new arrivals even if it is a temporary situation until they can get back on their feet

Who would that help?

This would help immigrants

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Brooklyn
