What problem would you like to solve?

The lack of cultural awareness and acceptance

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

In a city with over 800 languages spoken there is very little cultural appreciate or awareness in our community. Especially with the younger generation, traditions are being lost.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Maybe cultural heritage programs in community centers to education and express the different cultures in the neighborhood. They can be made fun with foods, arts, crafts, dances etc... It would also be nice to have scholarships for these diverse populations who are low income in the community to have a chance to go to a school that offers better educational services.

    Who would that help?

Youth in the community as well as the older people in the community. They could learn from one another and bridge the gap.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

    Bronx
