Essential

The People's Money

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

What problem would you like to solve?

The problem I would like to solve is the lack of mental health services and decent housing for the homeless people.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important because in Maslow's hierarchy of needs, physiological needs are first, we can not expect to live in a safe community when the basic needs of people are not being met. Houslessness affects everyone especially my community. Lack of food, healthy foods lead to malnutrition which leads to illness.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Creating more shelters that have therapist and other mental health services available. There should also be a program in place to assist with food stamps for the people in the community.

Who would that help?

Everyone such as low income families

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Bronx
