Community Trash Collection

Avatar: Community Member Community Member

What problem would you like to solve?

The increase in garbage on the streets and sidewalks, that stay their for over a week & the buildings that leave trash uncollected on the sidewalk.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

The rats are getting out of hand, its unhygienic and just plain old nasty. Having our children grow and learn in a clean environment benefits the entire city

What idea do you have to address the problem?

A more easy to navigate reporting system for those who want to report trash, A fine for buildings that allow the trash to build up, at least 5 trucks per borough whos job it is to respond to these complaints that would be billed to the property manger. Real world consequences that would discourage this build-up of trash

Who would that help?

the entire community,

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Bronx, (all of them)
