Changes at "After school tutoring and career prep program"

What problem would you like to solve?

Teenagers need more after school programs, especially the kind that help them academically and prepare them for the job market.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Teenagers will be the leaders of tomorrow, but many of them do not have productive things to do with their time. Helping these teens do better in school and prepare for future careers will help keep teens out of trouble in the here and now while also preparing them for the future.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

This is envisioned as an after school program with extended hours on weekdays and also weekend hours so as to give students more hours in the program and off the streets. The targeted age range is anywhere from 10 to 17 years old.

Who would that help?

This would help teens in the Bronx today and also all the people who will depend on them in the future when they are adults.
