    What problem would you like to solve?

    Pedestrians, and especially seniors, who need to be able to cross busy intersections safely.

    Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

    Safety.

    What idea do you have to address the problem?

    Help seniors advocate for raised cross-walks in their neighborhoods. Make a hotline so anyone can call in and request a raised cross-walk at busy and dangerous intersections. Also, do more public awareness about the benefit of raised cross-walks so more New Yorkers can hold the mayor accountable for pedestrian safety and incidents involving seniors.
