What problem would you like to solve?

There are too few free afterschool programs available for youth.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

Parents need supervised care for kids when school is out, and kids need to be involved in safe, fun activities

What idea do you have to address the problem?

A program to increase boys/girls clubs or other types of afterschool programs for all youth under 21 across the City. Programs would operate out of local community centers and would offer sports, clubs, homework help, childcare, first aid classes, mentoring, and other activities and resources for youth.

Who would that help?

The program would ensure all families have affordable care for children and would allow young people to engage in social activities in a safe, supervised setting.
