What problem would you like to solve?

I would like there to be a NYCHA incentive for youth where teenagers that live in NYCHA get paid to clean up their neighborhood or building.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

I believe when kids are given the option to clean up their building and improve their quality of life, they will value it more and stop littering, etc. and stop others from abusing their homes.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Pay kids ages 14 and up an hourly wage to clean and maintain their NYCHA building and park (grounds), throughout the year. Give a bonus during the summer for the cleanest building and create a rating system.

Who would that help?

NYCHA residents, workers and youth.

What NYC borough would benefit from your idea?

Citywide
