What problem would you like to solve?

City residents on assistance still struggle to pay large portions of their income on rent while inflation on food, gas and rent and other needed resources as well as child care is increasing.

Why is it important to solve? Why is it relevant for the community?

This is important to solve because the cost of rent and other services is a burden on many people living on assistance leaving them at the poverty level regardless of increased work.

What idea do you have to address the problem?

Have rent programs pay 85% of the rental agreement unless you are not working at the time or on social security depending on your income.

Who would that help?

This would help hundreds of thousands of people and lower homelessness.
